How to measure the success of your event or exhibition: before, during and after

Success isn't a feeling. Simple measures that make your event report useful for management and for the next event.
After every event comes the question: did it work? If the measure wasn't set in advance, the answer is just an impression. Good measurement starts before the event, not after it.
Before: define what success means
- One main, measurable goal, such as the number of leads or target attendance.
- How data will be captured: a registration form, a QR code or a tablet at the booth.
- Who is responsible for collecting and consolidating the numbers.
During: capture the numbers in real time
- Visitor counts by day and time.
- Participants in each interactive experience.
- Leads captured and their quality: are they the right organizations for you?
- Photos and video documenting attendance and engagement.
After: turn numbers into decisions
- A short report comparing results with the goal.
- Lead follow-up within a few days, before interest cools.
- What worked and should be repeated, and what should change next time.
Results reporting is a service we provide when it is agreed in the scope: we agree the measures with you before the event, and afterwards hand over a report on the data collected.
